Just Weld It Up

Around the year 2010, I found myself drawn to downhill mountain biking and the lifestyle it entails,and I became completely hooked. It is the combination of engineering, sport,nature and friends that I enjoy about it the most. Getting a good ride in andthen enjoying a beer with friends by the evening campfire somewhere in the mountains is priceless.

And since I have a strong affinity forengineering and technology, I had long been tempted by the idea of developingmy own frame.

It started simply - with an injury.When you break your ankle it gives you plenty of time to think, so I beganworking on my first full suspension frame. A steel frame. I went through theentire process of making a bike frame, it was a long way to go. Long hours atthe computer screen designing the kinematics, the construction, conductingstress analyses. Working out how to actually make such a frame with limitedfunds. I learnt how to weld. Eventually, I managed to complete my first frameand rode it for the whole season without any issue. I gained a lot ofexperience and kept refining this frame until the Naosm frame of today wasborn. And I keep working on more.
